It’s time to… SPOT THE SIMILARITIES! :)
God has blessed us with a beautiful child… and beautiful genes!!
Baby DressUp: Conquering the world one baby outfit at a time!
I thought of a fun way to keep track of my little O’s outfits by maintaining a blog about it. Let’s see if we can pull of a Carine Roitfeld and not repeat clothes until we’ve exhausted everything [that reasonably fifts her]. :) Follow us? hehe
Whenever I come across photos of newborns or FB status messages from people celebrating/expecting new life, I recall Olivia’s birth & am overwhelmingly filled with LOVE. How amazingly blessed we are to be able to partake in God’s creation and realize that we have such a huge capacity to give love.
I look at my little one and realize that she is no longer 7 1/2 lbs and 19 1/4 inches… and that she is [rapidly] growing beautifully before my very eyes.
Life is truly good if we choose it to be.
Everything Is Broken.: Surviving Manila Traffic
HILARIOUS. This is definitely one thing I do not miss about Manila: the traffic.
Driving through Manila takes a special skill and tenacity. We all complain about traffic. Coming from LA, I thought the 405 took the record of most unbearable traffic jam. After driving in Manila for a while, the drive always ends with a prayer for a miracle.

For non-Filipinos, let me introduce a new word to you in Filipino slang: KIKAY
This photo is little O being completely KIKAY! By definition, kikay refers to a girl who’s not only hip and trendy but also a little on the flirty side.
MY BABY’S STARTING YOUNG! hahaha
So… Someone got a little crafty tonight ;)
My next door neighbor welcomed a little boy a few days ago and I was thrilled that little O will soon have a playdate in the neighborhood. Of course, my brother and I joked about her “playing with boys” but we shouldn’t really put malice in our kids’ minds, right?
Anyway, I’ve always been a fan of those diaper cakes people give in baby showers so I decided to give it a try myself. Now that I’m a SAHM (that’s stay-at-home-mom to those who aren’t familiar with mommy jargon), I have the time to get crafty and be creative. It’s actually quite simple and easy to make, as long as you have the materials you want. Although I could’ve added more items and go all out, I think that my first ever diaper cake is a success and SUPER cute. Hopefully, my neighbor will feel the same way!
(If you’re wondering what I included in the package, there are 60 size 2 diapers, 8 terry wash cloths, 5 onesies and 1 pacifier clip.)
Life at 9 weeks

It’s in moments like this photo where you realize that all your prayers, hopes and hard work pay off.
Flash Photography and Screams: Show Us Some Love!
:)
This is my friend Cai.
She’s one of the people I love most in the world because she’s smart, she’s funny, she’s sweet, she genuinely cares about her friends and always manages to give sage advice, she’s just a little crazy (all the best people are), and she’s smokin’ hot.
On April 10, which…
If you have not seen this, then you should. HORRENDOUS act by the host & reality of poverty in the Philippines that an innocent child is subjected to humiliation because his family cannot support him and give him a good life! It’s not even a matter of what the child is willing to do but what he has to do for his family. THIS IS CHILD ABUSE.
On a related note, this reinforces WHY I SUPPORT the RH Bill in the Philippines. Because if more people were educated and informed about why they shouldn’t have ten million kids born into poverty and have access to those materials, then there will be less kids like Jan Jan who would have to force to dance just to win cash for his family.
SHAME ON YOU FOR DESTROYING A CHILD’S INNOCENCE. Instead of setting an example to your audience that making fun of the kid is wrong, you are condoning this behavior and showing other families that it is ok to humiliate their children! You still could’ve given the kid money for his effort and out of compassion. That would’ve been more endearing. But NOOOOOO, it was all for entertainment’s sake.
Putain, vous dégout moi!
